My art centers around my mixed race identity as someone who is half Korean and half white. I never felt like I could truly be either, so I embraced the in-between. It is a vague realm that I seek to solidify not only through an art practice, but through a life practice. I recontextualize Korean folktales, mythology, and customs based on my lived experiences. The result is a personalized narrative that is both familiar and uniquely my own.
